There are very few accommodations listed online for Turkistan. The two that are commonly recommended are Hotel Sabina and Hotel Edem. We stayed at Hotel Sabina and would rate it a 3/5. The front desk is very nice, but does not speak any English. The WiFi is pretty fast and there is good A/C in the room. Our only complaint would be the lack of hot water in the shower.
A private room with two twin beds and shared bathroom down the hallway is 5000 KZT ($14.10) a night.
A private room with a double bed and a private bathroom is 7000 KZT ($19.74) a night.
The hotel is not listed online. In order to make reservations in advance, you have to call the hotel at 87029649311 and use either Russian or Kazakh to communicate.

Hotel Edem and Other Hotels
There is another hotel called Hotel Edem that is located down the street at 6 Sultanbek Kozhanov. This hotel is more upscale than Hotel Sabina and includes a restaurant/club underneath. The room prices started from 7000 KZT. Some staff also speak English. However, some guests have complained about the noise from the club when they want to sleep. Try booking a room away from the courtyard if you want a quiet night’s sleep (odd numbers over 21 are quieter). It may be worth checking out if you want a bit more comfort. The two hotels are very close to each other, so you can easily walk down the street and compare. Hotel Edem was booked out when we arrived, so book in advance if you are travelling in summer.
There are plenty of accommodation options in Turkistan, just few online for English speakers. If you turn up to Turkistan without accommodation, we’re sure you will find somewhere to stay.
